What is photogrammetry?
Photogrammetry is the science of taking
measurements from photographs. We can make photographic measurements using
photos taken at ground level, from aerial platforms, and even underwater. One
of the most important elements of photogrammetry is taking lots of photos with
high amounts of overlap between adjacent pictures. What

The Spartan Statue and his Creator?
The idea of
the Spartan Statue originated in 1932 from then MSC Athletic Director Ralph
Young when he was visiting the campus of University of Southern California and
saw their Trojan statue. Students attempted to create a Spartan statue, but all
attempts failed. Nothing more would be
done until 1941 when President John Hannah took office and asked the statue’s
maker to undertake the project. On the Banks of the Red Cedar | Exhibits | Spartan Statue
